Project Overview
A tangible programming language that we are designing, fabricating, and researching in order to improve the accessibility of coding and physical computing for all, especially for underrepresented groups.
Obstacles
Problem: Educators and users were expressing that they wanted more functionality and the ability to create mr complicated coding blocks

Resolution: Created cohesive block indenting for looping options, including blank block indenting that incorporated the arrow flow design
Research Responsibilities
  • Performing literature review on tangible user interfaces for learning in order to inform data measures and analysis
  • Running co-design sessions with computer science educators
  • Conducting observations- both live and videoed observations- of user behaviors with the programming blocks
  • Analyzing the data to formulate thematic insights, including problem areas
Design Responsibilities
  • Prototyping with Miro, Figma, and paper on wood
  • Ideaing and planning design for future electronic and dimensional fabrication
